As a natural intuitive healer, Emma Simmons joined The Healing Trust (NFSH) in 2007, has passed the stringent assessment panel and meets the high standards of this internationally recognised healing organisation. As a full healer member, Emma adheres to The Healing Trust's strict code of ethical conduct and The Veterinary Act of 1966 and is insured to treat humans, horses and all other animals.*

Emma has always had a strong empathic connection with animals; surrounded by creatures great and small as a child, learning to ride at age 2 and completing Reiki 1 by the age of 11 thanks to her open-minded parents who recognised her sensitivity and love for animals. Now 23 years later at age 35, Emma is both a Reiki Master Teacher and registered Spiritual Healer and has a naturally grounded understanding and practise of hands-on and distant healing, combining her innate abilities with professional training and on-going development.

As Commissioner of Equine Healing and Wellbeing for the European Association of Horse Assisted Education (EAHAE) Emma is passionate about the horse-human relationship - and has combined her natural healing abilities with her learnt skills in Equine Facilitated Learning (HEAL cert) to develop Equine Guided Healing™ which offers both horse and human truly holistic healing.

Before taking up her place on the healing path, Emma worked as an actress in London, Europe and the U.S after training at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. After about 5 years in the industry, Emma's soul began to yearn to reconnect with Nature again and so she went on to buy and run a successful London floristry business in the heart of Marylebone for 10 years, from which she designed many floral and botanical displays and creations as well as orchestrating large-scale floral design for weddings and events in many of London's leading hotels and venues.

However, the call of the wild became louder...nature, animals and healing finally brought Emma back to the countryside when her much loved white horse, Sky, began to enter the last years of her life. This was a major turning point in Emma's life and career and has brought her to where she is today; Emma is a horse healer because her horse needed healing...her horse was her teacher because she was ready to learn..."When the student is ready the master appears..." The experience of nursing Sky and providing her with the best in both veterinary and complementary care for the last two years of her life led Emma to meet many wonderful animal healers, complementary practitioners and vets including Leanna Milward (horse whisperer and healer), Caroline Ingraham (pioneer of 'Zoopharmacognosy' and self-medication in animals), Margrit Coates (healer and author of the most wonderful animal healing books), Mark Elliot (homeopathic vet) and excellent veterinary surgeons - Jo Dudney and Peter Curl . With their combined mentorship, help, support and guidance Sky's golden years were ones of dignity, comfort and eventually an amazingly peaceful aided end thanks to veterinary surgeon, Peter.

Emma now lives with her husband, 10 horses, honorary donkey - Mr Bilbo Baggins, 3 cats, 8 goats, 4 ex-battery hens and Battersea Dog's Home dog, Ozzie, in the Hampshire countryside...and doesn't miss London one bit!

Emma is currently writing a book that has been a long time coming but will hopefully be finished in 2012...
