I am fully qualified in Equine Facilitated Learning having trained with Leigh Shambo and Kathleen Barry Ingram at The Human Equine Alliance for Learning (HEAL) in the U.S.A in 2009. I am also a qualified member of the European Association of Horse Assisted Education (EAHAE) and am the EAHAE Commissioner of Equine Healing and Wellbeing. I offer EFL therapy sessions with my own horses in the spring and summer

Our horses have all come to be with us for different reasons. Most of them have been through dark times but they have also been through good times and although most have known cruelty and negativity they have also known love and positivity... they are shining examples of learning from experience, letting go of the past and living in 'the now' - they relish life, relationships and learning and are the ultimate teachers. They now live naturally and holistically, with free access to shelter and hay and each others company...they have healed themselves and each other and are now ready to offer healing to others.

Horses - and all animals for that matter - live their lives from a much purer and basically higher level of consciousness and authenticity than humans do, partly because they have not lost their connection to the natural world and their emotions like we have due to today's society. With their help, we can reconnect to life on a truly deep and healing level.

Having formally trained in Equine Facilitated Learning at HEAL in the USA in 2009 I felt the need to further my understanding and work in the EFL/EAP world and so became a Qualified Member of the EAHAE - The European Association for Horse Assisted Education. I am honoured to be the Commissioner of Equine Haling and Wellbeing for the EAHAE, my role being to bring inspiration and information about healing and wellbeing for all horses involved in education, therapy and healing work around the world.

I have worked together with my horses over the past couple of years to co-create Equine Guided Healing™ which combines the science and practical application of EFL/HAE with the spirit of healing. The resulting approach is pure, simple and often deeply profound and healing - offering peace and solace in this hectic world and guiding others to connect with their own intuitive and healing gifts.

Also, if you are experiencing 'relationship problems' with your horse, EFL can uncover and work to resolve issues that other approaches cannot.

..Something profound is happening on our planet. Having realised that we perhaps don't have all the answers after all, human beings have begun to look to other species for guidance on how to live, love and be. The sometimes uncomfortable truth that although we may be the dominant race on the planet we are by no means the master race, is revealing itself on a daily basis to more and more people.

Acknowledging humankind's effect on the planet, both positive and negative, gives alot of food for thought and prompts the question of "what would the world be like now if humankind had not been the ones in charge"? how would our planet be and look now if we had followed another species' way of being? We may not have the advancement of technology and medicine that we have now, but what different advancements might we have in their place? Perhaps beautiful, healthy rainforest and vegetation would carpet the planet rather than concrete and iron; perhaps rather than noise and electro magnetic radiation everywhere we would instead communicate non-verbally and telepathically. We would possibly all have the ability of living in 'the moment'; truthful and clear expression of emotions; supportive and mutually beneficial communities; heart-centred leadership for the highest good of all; loving, loyal, strong and close family units and bonds.. Would famine, war, violence, cruelty, injustice, greed, poverty, abuse and exploitation even exist if we had been guided by another species - namely the equine species? Maybe, maybe not..perhaps we will never know. On the other hand, perhaps it's time to explore the possibilities..
 
Horses have always inspired humans. They embody beauty, sensitivity, wildness, truth, strength, playfullness, curiosity, grace and power. Horses live in the moment. It's in their DNA to do so. As prey animals, they are finely tuned sensors to the other beings and energy around them due to their main focus being survival; their life depends on their reactions. When we work with horses for our own personal and spiritual growth, we work with masters. They know and understand everything that is going on around them due to their heightened sensory perception. They sense the energy of the thoughts and feelings of any humans around them- even if that human is trying their best to hide how they feel. They willingly and accurately act as our mirrors giving us the opportunity to act on their feedback and offer us often profound rewards and confirmation for our new improved choices and actions. 

By using various specially created ground-based exercises and activities, I work together with you and the horse to access deeper levels of body awareness and emotional intelligence. Old repetitive patterns and emotional blocks become easier for you to identify and - if you are ready- you can choose to take the opportunity to acknowledge them and- if they no longer serve you- let them go. They are released, allowing the you to move forward. refreshed, recharged and reconnected to your authentic self. EFL sessions are as unique as each client. The experience you have with the horse in the session can then be translated onto and into your everyday life and relationships - resulting in often revolutionary and richly positive and surprising changes and healing....
